New Homes Fair Makes a Successful Return to Cork

Wednesday April 22^nd in the Imperial Hotel Cork saw the successful return of the CIF Cork New Homes Fair. The volume of people in attendance has proven once again that there is still great interest in the new homes market in Cork.

Over 700 people visited the New Homes Fair over a four hour period, proving that the public are becoming more aware of the value that is currently available in the new homes market.

Speaking after the event, Joe O’Brien, CIF Director of the Southern Region said:

“The high attendance for this year’s New Homes Fair has again shown that there is  pent up demand for housing in Cork, and proven that the public are eager to find out more about what is available, with a view to buying.”

“Our New Homes Fair offers the perfect opportunity for people to come in and browse through new homes from across Cork City and County, and talk directly to the builders about them, all on one night, under one roof.  In addition to this, potential buyers were also able to get information on mortgages from AIB on the night.”

“Having spoken to all the companies that were involved in the New Homes Fair, I’m delighted to report that the night was a huge success.  Based on the interest shown from the public, I am confident that this will result in a large number of sales”.

“Companies reported that those in attendance have done their research well and know exactly what their budget is and the type of property they want.”

On the night, CIF also provided those who attended with information about purchasing a new home, such as mortgage interest relief, stamp duty and building energy ratings.  Additional information was also give about the CIF New Homes website www.chap.ie which, with over 30,000 unique visits to date, is proving a big hit with the Cork house buying public.
